There is a Vega for sale in Port Credit, Ont., Canada - I have been on it
once. Seems excellent. Owner down to 19,000 Canadian dollars.

When I was actively pricing them, I found bottom feeders at $7500 ...

One reportedly "nicely kept" with an Atomic 4 gas engine with trailer in good condition in inland PA

Another in Cape Cod area, good condition, with diesel ...

And another in New Hampshire with all new parts that someone started to rebuid and "just needed" a little more work (no engine or prop shaft at all) .. little work being instrument through hull installation, wiring, holding tank, fresh water tank, fuel tank), etc.

Others reportedly in 'better shape' upwards to 10 - 12k. The only one I actually visited was the one in NH, but in addition to the engine was the hauler wanted close to another thousand to move it anyplace I wanted it to be.

Hope this helps some.

Good Luck

Sounds fairly reasonable to me. The Canadian crusiers we met were calling
their dollars, dollarettes, meaning a petite dollar. Worth about 2/3's of US
dollar. So $19,000 Canadian would be abit over $12,000 US. Most boats sell
for about two thirds of the asking price. So the boat should sell for around
$8,000 US. With the upgrades and if the rest of the boat is in okay
condition it's a good price. Walt
