OK, All: She's on the block!

Vesper, Vega # 1868 IS up for sale. She is in as pristine a condition as
you'll find almost any Vega.

The sails are nearly new, with Furlex roller furling; plenty of ground
tackle, lines, fenders, dodger, new halyards, newly installed electric bilge
pump,
autopilot, new cushions in salon, ice box, fresh- and saltwater foot pumps in
galley sink, two-burner alcohol stove, Coast Guard approved type 111 head,
VHF
radio, Loran, Lots of storage and many other amenities. I am the third owner.
Recent marine survey has been done for insurance.

She's powered by a Volvo MD6A with combi drive. Having a bit of trouble with
the engine, but a good diesel mechanic should be able to take care of that.

She's at the Mason's Island Marina in Mystic, CT now, on the hard but almost
ready for the water. bidding price is starting at $10,500. Mooring is paid
for the year ($1,200).

I can be reached at SaylerEd@... or (860) 536-9593, or through this
Vega group, if you wish.

Ed, I feel that your asking price is too low especially in light of the recent articles that attest to the quality of the Vega...I am also a licensed Florida yacht broker and can appriciate the value in comparison to other vessels. A well founded Vega should in my opinion be marketed in the $15 to $20k range US.
