VC17 - Timing?

What are the general guidelines for applying VC17? I've heard it should be applied within 48 hours of putting the boat in the water. Is this true? If so, how important is this timing? Would it be a problem if I painted the bottom within 3 days of putting the boat in the water? Are there any other things I should know as a newbie before applying this? thanks! --mike

Mike~ Don't worry about the timing before launch. My bottom has been painted for two weeks and launch is Saturday.

Not to worry

Some people get two season out their VC leaving it sit all winter.
