I've got a Hunter 33, 1980 model, that has about 1 acre of teak belowdecks. It has been finished (refinished?) sometime in the past with some sort of oil or oil stain - doesn't look bad, but I think I would like it to have a more finished appearance. What do you think my chances of getting varnish to stick would be if I wiped down with acetone and then varnished over - I don't need to sand to get the surface clean or level. Any recommendations on varnish or finish - I use Cetol outside, but don't want the orange tint on the inside.
