Ditto Ultimate Sole for the flooring....
For varnish, *spar* varnish is soft and flexible (so it doesnt crack when the SPAR flexes) but 'dings' very easily easily. If you know of an oldfashioned 'paint' store where the proprietor is older than God consider to have 'the ancient one' MAKE you some BARTOP varnish for your interior - its HARD, it wont ding so easily, etc. BARTOP varnish's usual form is full gloss, so if you want semi-gloss or satin finish, then you will need to hand rub with rottenstone or fine pumice once it 'cures'. BARTOP is somewhat difficult to apply and usually needs some handrubbing after cured, even if you want gloss. Wetsanding with 1000 grit ---> 2000 grit, then powerbuffing with 3M Perfect-it compound with produce a dazzling finish.
