The previous owner of my H27 at one time varnished all of the teak, but it was not cared for over the years prior to my owning it and the varnish is peeling and chipping all over the place.
I am determined to remove all of it and use Starbrite Teak Sealer.

Any suggestions on how to remove? Scraping or sanding or some type of paint remover?

Thanks

Sand a way

Its not that bad a job. I used Sikkens marine finish,- lasts a long time.

The way I remove it

Is to use a heat gun to soften the old varnish, and scrape it off. Then a light sand, and re-coat. Carefull not to get the wood too hot, or you will burn it.
