Valvetech fuel docks

When I got fuel last month when I went to the "shack" to pay, I noticed behind it, dozens of 5 gallon containers labeled "Valvetech". So I asked the "kid", the Valvetech fuel doesn't come pre-mixed ?
"Nope, we take care of you"
"Huh" says I.
Some details, small harbor 3500 boats, one fuel dock 16nm to another, year round use, a Catalina ferry that burns 1500 gallons a day, home port for Nordhavn, lots of tourist and whale watching boats, they must be getting fuel deliveries weekly and maybe every few days in summer.
I'd assume it came pre-mixed from whatever nearby refinery it was shipped from. As hypersensitive as they are around here about spills I can't think this is a preferred method.
Anyone got some insight on the methods Valvetech USUALLY gets into our fuel ?
This was triggered by the ULSD thread which I didn't want to hijack, I was just surprised to see the jugs and had never seen them before.

Well

At least here everybody's fuel comes form a few places who add the various chemicals the different brands claim

I would think valvetech is a tiny piece of the market

In the old days the pumps dispensed 2 stroke premix :)

Did you ask how it was mixed? It is possible the pump has a means of proportioning it as you load. It is also possible they splash mix it in the tank. It would not be mixed at the refinery--volume is way to low.

Be glad you saw the buckets. They could as easily have been making a false claim.

Valvetech makes a good additive. I've done some lab testing.

I asked my marina about this and they said they never mix anything at the marina. The delivery truck loads ethanol free fuel and mixes in the Valvetech additive at the distribution center. He also said that a rep from Valvetech makes spot checks to insure the marina has their product. If not, the marina can't claim to have Valvetech fuel. May be different in your area. I'm in NW FL.
