There's an old (early 1970's) O'day 20 for sale by me for $250. I'm considering it for a parts boat.
It's in very rough shape, been loft out open for at least 15 years. The cabin looked like a bunch of rotten wood, leaves, nests, etc... The cockpit and stern were completely full of ice and water.
But, it comes on a galvanized roller trailer, has a mast (with some damage at the base - torn out tabernacle pin) winches, adjustable outboard mount, intact rubrail (can you refurbish rubrail to make it bright again?) Spinnaker T-tracks and stand up blocks, fixed rudder, intact centerbord.. No sails, No bow pulpit.
So, are these parts together worth $250 or more?
The boat I'm working on doesn't have rubrail, winches, T-track or an adjustable motor mount. I'm looking for a mast too, but the mast on this one is the shorter 22' and I'm looking for a 27'.
I have room to store it, and it's only about an hour away.
