Vacuum Gauge for Fuel Filter

I have a Racor R230 fuel filter. I'd like to fit a vacuum gauge to my system to monitor the filter. I want one that has a tell-tale needle, so I can look at it when the engine's not running. Racor has one, the RK19669 that fits the bill.

Does anyone know if this can be fitted to the vent port on the top of the filter? If not, have you a recommendation for how to mount and plumb it?

Thanks,

jv

Try this Parker p/n. A kit (RK19671) with the RK19669 and a T-handle which I didn’t need but was $23 cheaper than the gauge alone. Sweet talk to Jeremy (Imel) he may give you free shipping.

Here you go. I bought it at a Hydraulics shop. Fluid dampened two indicators. One for current, other for maximum experienced. A fraction of the cost of the Parker unit. Fittings put the gauge in line from the filter to the engine (key point after the filter but before the engine fuel pump). This worked in my set up. It really does not need to be on the filter. Just somewhere in the line depending on your available space.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, guys! Great options. Now i just have to figure out the hose size so I can buy/make the T-fitting I need.

By the way, for the brass fittings, I assume you guys used NPTF fittings? Where did you get them?
