Do you have any strong opinions (good or bad) on the Vacuflush Head option offer by Hunter ?

I got 2..

and they are great! They work well and use very little water. They flush with fresh water (about 1 pint or so)so you do not get that "rotten egg" smell that is so common with salt water flushed heads when they have been unused for a while. They are not cheap, but I think they are worth it. MPJ

VacuFlush is an excellent toilet but--

The Raritan Atlantes is a better option: If the the fresh water solenoid is installed, the amp hrs used are half that of a V/Flush...it uses approx the same amount of water...the "standard" bowl is a full household size (the "standard" V/Flush bowl is small)...the entire bowl/pedestal is a single molded china piece (the V/flush bowl is china, the pedestal is "plastic wrap")...the Atlantes macerates waste, reducing the conditions that permeate hoses. The Atlantes is also quieter and virtually impossible to clog. Check it out on the Raritan website at www.raritaneng.com

But will it fit?

I agree that the Atlantes would be the pottie for my boat buy I hae tow questions. They don't seem to have a shorter version for platform mounting (both of the toilets on the 430 are mounted on platforms of about 4 inches in height) and I wonder if this would be too high, and whether they plan to produce a shorter version. Also, the base of the factory installed PAR head just fits, up to the edge of the platform, and I think the plastic "skirting" might possibly extend out over the platform. Any help here would be appreciated.

typos

Wow, looks like I was writing in Dutch! I should have proof-read it first. What I meant to write was that "I have two questions..." Sorry... not at all considerate of me to submit it like that.

'S ok George, typos don't deduct points...

The Atlantes only comes in one size: household. But IMHO opinion, it MAY be easier to create a bigger platform for it than it is to find space for the "external" V/flush components.
