DUTY EXPERT
Crazy Dave, Wonder if you can help since I'm getting conflicting advice. prsently i sail out of the Washington Sailing marina in DC (Which is a tricky, but a great place to go sailing by the way). They have a ramp there of sorts but it is very rudimentary. They prefer that people use a hoist. I asked around and I'm getting differing hoisting positions. Some say the cleats at the rear and the front are ok. I was also told that the cleats at the rear can be used (for balance--with some kind of bridle arrangement, but that the Center Gravity is at or near the mast and that calls for using the Halyard "U" rings. Do you have any thoughts--since you seem to have lots of great gouge.
