Very interesting

Steve: I wondered how you could get a ship on a ship at sea. Looks like they just fill the mother ship with water and float the damaged vessel on-board. Then they blow their bilges and the mother ship floats again. Thanks.

Gaping

This is the first time I've actualy seen the damage (size) with a human body beside it for comparison. Imagine the magnitude of the blast.

Don't think the Cole was armored

Not sure what class the Cole is (escort? destroyer?) but I don't believe its armored. It was not hit by an armor piercing shell. If that blast had ocurred next to a WWII battleship, for example, probably would have hardly caused a dent.
