They are hard to find but if you take the time and have lots of stainless to polish a convoluted wheel is the ticket

any discoloration can easily be removed with "spotless stainless" without damaging the polished surface....

a photo or link of exactly what you are referring to would help... but if you ARE referring to the convolute deburring wheel, strongly keep in mind that it is abrasive, and when using it you are NOT repairing any pits or scratches, but you ARE removing the metal around the pits and scratches..... a pit can easily be as deep (or deeper) as half the thickness of a stanchion tube, so when removing the metal to hide a pit it is making the metal thinner and weaker over a larger area.
it also removes the finely polished surface, which may be ok if thats what you want, and the swirls left by the wheel can be removed with a scotch bright pad or 800G wet sand paper worked in one direction. it will leave a satin finish on stainless.
but its a lot of work to get the polish back on it after its been removed.

I thought the convoluted wheel was when I forget to unfold my folding wheel before backing out of the slip....
