I've been on the lookout for a Macgregor 22 (or similar) used. I've seen a lot of boats on Craigslist, but not many like what I'm looking for. Either a little too expensive, heavy, no trailer, no motor, or just not right in general. Yeah, I've only been looking for a couple months and know that this takes time, and I'm patient about it since I'll find my ship! So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of good (and active) used boat web sites for the Seattle area? BoatTrader Online is very slim and not much there usually. Any ideas, tips or suggestions to pass on? Thanks! Tom

This site or yachtworld

There is a link on this website that allows you to search all brands and you can also search using yachtworld.com. Check the classified ads for "buy a boat" and try the yachtworld.com. I did a quick search and found one 22' McGregor on this website. You can try ebay too Good Hunting.

Macgregor 22' Long Beach
used sailboats

I bought my 1971 22' Venture on ebay a year ago for $2,300. It included 7 sails with a spinaker w/gear, a trailer and a 6HP outboard. The exterior of the boat looked almost new and all of the equipment worked. Just keep looking and bidding. Novelman

I have bought/sold boats on this site:

ads are free, although the owner accepts voluntary contributions if your boat sells. He seem to get a LOT of traffic on his site.

search

Seems that your ideas are all the same as mine for searching. I've been looking at yachtworld.com, Ebay, Craigslist, Boattraderonline.com, and whatever else I can come up with. Craigslist seems to be the best place to look, but still haven't found much that is remotely close to what I'm looking for. The Ebay, and the other sites don't seem to have much at all in Washington. I don't want to drive across the country for something, but maybe within 50-100 miles. Or is that too much to ask for? Tom

Hi GP, Hmm...maybe 12 inches shorter than what I was thinking might not make a huge difference. Sounds pretty good, can you email me some photos of the boat? I was reading reviews of the 22 vs. the 21 and both of them say that it's possible to live on it for a few days, but cramped (I figured that already). I'd like to see some photos if you can send me some. Here is an address you can reply to me on. I adjusted it to avoid the spammers! eastsideastro [[[at]]] comcast (((dot))) net Thanks! Tom
