Lots of chain......it will pay you back when there lots of wind spinning you around the hook
I'd check out the claw anchors, see if they work for your bottom conditions. They may not work quite as fast as a couple of newer designs but aren't nearly as pricey. Better to have 2 good anchors than 1 great anchor. In my experience it's better to have a minimum of 2 types of anchors in case the primary doesn't work.
The type of anchor and it's suitability for local bottom conditions and rode scope are very important factors, determine what type you need/want first and the manufacturer or vendor website will clue you in on size.
If you're hauling by hand vs a windlass, you'll either want to go with lighter anchors/less chain or make room on board for a live aboard chriopractor.:cry:

It depends on several factors
Selecting an anchor, IMHO, depends on more than just weight. Type of bottom where you anchor is to be considered. If you look at the mfg's. sizing charts, most will recommend a 35# anchor for your boat. But a Danforth type will certainly not be needed that big. I have a similar sized boat, and have a 35# CQR as my every day unit. Also have a Danforth which is about half that weight, and a 44# Delta. The CQR is my every day anchor, the Danforth as a back up, and the Delta is for any expected severe conditions. Bottoms here are soft, with no rocks.

I think windage counts more than the weight of the boat. My former 356 had a lot of freeboard and it would sail around on the anchor - also caused by the underwater configuration. Whatever the reason it would snap up on the anchor which could rip it out of the bottom. I never slept well on that boat if the wind was on until I got the Mason Supreme. Pricey? Yeah a bit but how do you enjoy a night of no sleep while the anchor alarm goes off time after time. What does that cost?

I would go with 100' or 150' so that I could anchor in 25 or even 30 feet of water. That depends on where you typically anchor. We mostly anchored in 10' of less but when we went to Block Island sometimes it would be 25'. We've seen boats there lose their rodes due to chafe.

Stay away from CQR. There are lots out there for sale cheap, but I was wholly unimpressed by it. I have since replaced it with a 35 pound manson supreme. Works beautifully. So far, hooks well, holds well. I have also had good luck with Delta anchors.
I have had my CQR for may years with 50 feet 3/8 chain. Held well in thunder storms with 60+ kts wind and a 8 to 10 - 1 scope.
20 kg Rocna (45lb) and 60-90 ft of chain 5/8 with 250 3/8 ft of rode. Rocnas and Mansons ( similar) new generation anchors do well in many variable bottom conditions. Thy set fast nd hold very well. Also will reset fast if necessary such as in a tidal anchorage.
We have the above set up and have slept like babies.

As usual...your mileage may vary! I am sure there are as many opinions as users when it comes to anchors.I was in Light House reef in Belize at anchor when both anchors went during a storm. I had to motor to deeper water away from the reef to my rear and used my smaller 45 lbs. CQR. We had winds up to 50 knots and 10-15 foot seas in 40 feet of water. The CQR held and next morning we recover all the anchors. The cqr was bent 90 degrees. On the way back to the Virgin Islands, I stopped in Fajardo. PR and replaced the CQR for a brand new one at no cost at West Marine. The anchor carries a full replacement life time warranty.
