If you pay 'cash on the barrelhead' ....

and you are not buying high value items ..... a strictly cash basis will not require tax IDs nor account set-up.

Hey Shorty, Two of my favorite places in the world are Surplus Unlimited in Daytona Beach, they have EVERYTHING either used or new. The other is Sailors Exchange om St.Augustine. They have websites. We can't live without our oven, having ribs ready when you get back to the dock is awesome! Dean www.blowinganddrifting@yahoo.com

Fuming

I bought a 2-year-old Catalina 350 last year. It never occurred to me that the previous owner may have never used the oven. I fired it up to pre-heat and went out in the cockpit for 10 minutes. Came back to some rather pungent fumes, as some of the internal parts still had a protective clear plastic film on them that I didn't see. What a mess to clean that up. Took a LOT of heat to burn away the last lingering residue so that our food stopped tasting like burnt plastic.

Broiler works

Pilot on, turn to broil, pilot grows, heats thermocouple, broiler ignites just fine. Turn back to 350, pilot shrinks, no gas flows. Methinks safety valve is fine because broiler works, so thermostat problem which I'll probably fix. Still no luck with alternate suppliers. One fellow told me that it is a marine part and they don't sell those to the landlubber distributors.

Microwave?

We've been thinking of getting a small microwave since we often stay in marinas on shore power. Anybody else use one?
