Like most sailors, we are practicular about what goes (or rather what does not go)into the head. We have standard advice and instructions we give to sailing guests and visitors but would like to post a polite sign in the head as a reminder. Aside from the usual "If you did not eat or drink it - it does not go into the head", what do others use as a posted sign?

For emergency use only!

When we are in port, my guests are instructed to use the landlubber facilities. The head is for use when under sail or at anchor. Less use=less pumpouts and less chance for trouble.

Everyone sits on a boat

It's not posted, but I pass it along to all the males that come aboard.

"Any questions or problems,

Please ask for assistance!" Or worded another way: "If you're not sure how the toilet works, please ask for assistance!"

What goes in, must come out.

How about, "What goes in the head must come out of you!"

"If you didn't eat...

it, put it in the trash", and make sure there is a trash receptacle with a bag in it in the heads.
