My newly purchased H320 is my first USCG documented vessel. One of the requirements is marking the official COD number "in block-type Arabic numerals at least 3" high on some clearly visible interior structural part of the hull".My question is WHERE and HOW should I do this. My boat is 3 years old and as far as I can tell, the previous owners failed to to do this despite the warning in the USCG documentation that this would be a $10000 penalty per day for this violation. Maybe they marked it somewhere "the sun don't shine" but I haven't found it. Can I do this with say a Permanent Marker? Or does it have to be painted on? If so where? The entire interior seems to be inner liner and trim. The "engine compartment" doesn't seem big enough for 3" letters without removing the engine.Gary Hunter 320
