USCG Documentation for C-27

Need help in USCG documentation for my C-27. An initial application to the CG had an incorrect measurement; the "D" measurement. The CG denied the application. Would like to hear from someone who still has a copy of an original Catalina "builders certificate" giving the official measurements for a 1989 or earlier model C-27. Many thanks.

I have tried to go to the intl catalina 27 site recently and have been unable to get in. (have to be a paying member it seems) However the same brochures are on this website in the archives if you do a search for them. Can you document a 27?

I thought I understood that a vessel had to be at least 5 net tons to be documented? Doesn't teh C-27 weigh under 8000 # (4 net tons)?

YES, C-27 CAN BE AND HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED. THE 5 NET TONS (MIN) IS THE CAPACITY OF THE BOAT, NOT ITS OWN WEIGHT OR DISPLACEMENT.

I measured TASHTEGO while she was out of the water this winter using the USCG simplified measurement system ( see <.http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-m/vdoc/nvdc.htm> and it measured to 5 GROSS tons but only four NET tons, too small to document. If anybody has measurements that indicate a Catalina 27 measures to five net tons I'd like a copy.
