After 5 years of trying to get the Annapolis, we are finally going this year. We have a hotel and a plan to attend Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Is there anything important to know or to see at the show. Places to eat or helpful hints. We are planning to buy the tickets at the show. Thanks.

Buy your tickets online and print them out ahead of time. One less line to wait in at the gate.

Try Chick & Ruth's for breakfast or lunch. An easy walk from the boat show up the main drag from Ego Alley about three blocks. Great casual place and everybody there rises and says the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning. I think its at 9am but you may have to check on the time.

If you have a car try Cantler's for crabs or other seafood. it on the other side of the Servern River so you really need a car to get there. Plan on a line though but its worth the wait.

There is a home Navy Football game that weekend and while its time away from the boat show its a real thrill to attend.

I am a fan of the boatyard bash at Eastport yacht club. Also, table side Caesar salad at Carol's by the creek, also in Eastport. Best Caesar I and the admiral have ever had, period!

Davis Pub in eastport is great for food and beer and price.
Galaway Bay excellent for dinner/beer.
two great mexican places, one on west street just west of church circle call el toro bravo, the other over in West Annapolis, near weams creek.
Seconder for Cantlers for Crab, but expect long lines/wait that weekend.
Red Hot and Blue for ribs out on 50 towards bay bridge.
If hotel not walking distance from venue, park at Navy Stadium and take bus.
Take your time and take a map, first day check of locations of places you want to go back to so you dont have to rely on the brainbox.
Check some of the offsite chandleries (Fawcetts, Bacons, APS) as they have good sales on stuff not at the show.
Dito on buying pass online and print ticket, saves standing in line.

Thanks

We are so appreciative of all your replies. Looks like you like to eat good food as much as we do. I am writing down all your suggestions and we will try as many of the places as we can. Thanks again. Jacques

You're welcome Jacques, I'd love to be at the show and meet up with ya but my gf has a medical issue that requires surgery and it could be that week......I'd be at the electric yachts of annapolis booth if I could go.
