We have a 2005 h260 that has developed a small leak that I believe must be originating from the highest point of the deck around the mast flange, during rainy days water will drip from the electrical inspection panel door mounted on the roof between the mast support pole and the forward cabin ceiling light fixture, water will also seep from under the interior fiberglass roof liner on the sides and drip down the cabin wall under the side seat cushions and the bench top.

I have looked all around the mast support flange and cannot see any obvious flaws that rain water could be entering, does anyone have any suggestions where this water could be coming from?

Thanks in advance

Try puttring a bead of caulk around the mast plate and deck. Also if there are any bolts holding the bracket down, that might be a source but it could also be the pin holding the turning sheave for the centerboard line that has lost it's caulking. Recaulk and that should resolve the issue.

If you can loosen the fittings, enough to get them up just a little, or if you can take them off all together, you can re bed them and the screws using 3M 5400 Marine Sealant. It is good stuff though expensive.

That should take care of it.

I tried everything but lower the mast this past weekend and the rain is still seeping in the upper interior around the mast plate. I will lower the mast this week and address the 4 mast plate bolts, is it advisable to lift the mast plate and reseal underneath or just remove the 4 mast plate screws and inject the 3M 5400 in the screw hole, is there a torque spec when I retighten?

Thanks
