Just talked to Bob at US Yatch Cushions, real nice guy. For anyone interested he says he has a pretty good method of identifying hunter 30 models for repalcement cushions but needs to talk it over with each boat owner because there were some variations through the years and even during some years. He gave me his email USYC@aol.com and said he has a cd and fabric sample he'll send out if anyone is seriously considering replacements made to order and shipped.

We have a complete set of interior cushions for a Hunter 30, era 1978 for sale. The boat was totaled in a storm, but the cushions were stored in our house so they survived. The cushions are about ten years old, but look like new as they were always stored indoors and got very little use. We used best quality new marine foam and quality blue/gray velour fabric. The V cushions also have their support boards. We spent over $300 on the fabric alone.

We are asking $400 for the complete set. I can send you more pictures if you interested. (The cushions flexed when we stood them up - thus the wrinkles). We are located in the Seattle area.

I'm working on an 84, 27 ft Hunter, Cherubini style and need info about the backrest cushions. All I have is the remaining velcro on the back wood area!

Did the cushions had a plywood back, then foam which attached to the back wooden side?

I think US Yacht Cushions in St. Petersburg( 727-322-5352 ) made your original cushions. At any rate they can help. And my own have a plywood back that is covered in a heavy naugahyde. They have been reupholstered but I think the covered plywood was original.

I also have an H30 that I would like to have new cushions for, but have had no luck with with US Yacht Cushions. They were busy earlier with personal issues, but I'm not even getting replies to emails now (as I had previously). Has anyone had luck with them this year?

I once priced new cushions just for fun. The best price I found was a friend of a relative's auto upholstery business. I ended up doing it myself and spending twice as much.

I had cushions made by a company called Canvas and Cushions in Hampton VA. They came to the boat and templated it rather than use the old cushions for patterns. Was reasonably priced compared with auto upholstry shops and we were delighted with the new cushions. Get new foam.
