"the game?" never heard of that book.

By the end of this month I will probably have made covers for all of my woodwork on my boat for when I am not on the boat and I may have replaced the strattaglass in the dodger (going to make covers for the strattaglass too).

The game by neil straus. It's about how to pick up women. There are a lot of good principles that he covers.

Best upgrade was wiring a shorepower plug in the anchor locker. I now coil my shorepower cord in the anchor locker and when I'm docked I simply pull out a few feet of cable, run it over the bow and plug into the pedestal. No more running that big yellow cable from the transom all the way allong the deck so it can be plugged in at the bow on the dock. Why do sailboat manufacturers always put the shorepower plug at the back of boats anyway?

Most of us back our boats into a slip so the powerplug is closer when we back in.

I had that book, the game. I actually gave it to the son of the actor who played rorshack on that new movie watchmen. His son worked at blockbuster video up the street from my house a couple of years ago. I never met his dad though.

My best upgrade so far has been the 2 gal. pee bucket as opposed to the small tupperware container we used to use. Hopefully I will have better things to brag about by the end of the summer. Right now I have nothing exciting.

How about an anchor wash down system. Can't do without in the Chessy Bay. My next upgrade has to be a feathering or folding prop so I can keep up with Java when we are running the engine.

Sorry guys, I couldn't resist this one...
I've upgraded once and I've been upgraded twice.
First, MY upgrade was to my wife. I was married once before and she liked being on the boat (at the time, a Cal 20) but she had no interest in sailing.
My current (and "'til death do us part") wife has upgraded me twice by finding each of our last two boats, an O'day 27 and our current (maybe not "til death do us part") boat, an O'day 35. Many other great upgrades to the boat, but the BEST upgrade was to her.

Autohelm --- Why did I wait so long?

Anchor Washdown System --- So much easier than dipping a bucket overboard to get rid of that nasty C-peake Bay stinky black mud!

HVAC --- especially during those quiet still windless hot humid days in August and September

Least needed was the entertainment system, TV, sounds, etc. (They are just nice perks for those special times when they would be nice to have)
