Hello to all. I am always looking to upgrade and make improvements on my 1983 Catalina 22. I love the boat, but would like to make it feel bigger in the cabin as far as storage, apperance ect. The same hold true for the exterior. I looked at the 22 web site, but only find a hand full of owners sites with such improvements unlike the Cat.25 site which has many owner upgrades. Any ideas and upgrades would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all, Jack

Hi jack I had a C22 and the best thing i did was to make a doger that fit over the cabin poptop and had bug screen and zippers this let you stand inside and let you keep the hatch open in the rain. John

Similar idea
I had a sailmaker take our poptop cover and relace the clear vinyl windows with screening. Also made the companionway "door" screening as well. This lets lots of air through. My next move will be to get the Catalina Direct hydraulic poptop opener to make it easier to open and close.
