Just wondering how the Easy Steer works for you? I was looking into getting one but they mentioned a loss of rudder turn when installed. I would like to see your mods but the link isnt working. Thanx, Pat sv JibSea

Regarding loss of rudder (range I am assuming): I will only use when docking and the loss of rudder range will be made up for by turning ability due to motor being able to turn in my opinon. And I will disconnect it when I tilt the motor up for sailing. It is has a quick release feature which works really well...
I made up a similar type of linkage for my 260 but instead of taking it from the rear of the motor I put the rod through the rudder post so that the linkage connects on the bow side of the rudder post and connects to the front of the motor. That way I do not have to reach as far to disconnect. There is a rough old sketch in the photo forum.
