About time for an update:
Just finishing my 5th session of chemo and things are going well. A few crazy side effects that can drive you up a wall. For about 3-4 days after session, I'm sensitive to cold in my hands and throat. This of course limits my RUM and BEER drinking. Warm I guess, might have to turn into a Brit.
Now the good stuff. After 4 treatments my cancer indicators have dropped from 1400 to 61 which is great. Going below 55 is consider negative territory. Really good thing is, had a CTSCAN on 7/21 and the tumor has been shrunk almost 50%. So this chemo is really working. Last chemo session is set for Nov 11, so this will put a test of wills for getting south, either to the Keys or Bahamas... Time will tell..
