Has anyone got any input on climbing the mast with the boat on the hard. She has five stands under her now-1 at the bow and 2 on either side. How safe is it putting a 239lb. weight the top of the mast? Thanks in advance-Ray

Going aloft on the hard

Hi Ray - I can appreciate your hesitation, given that concrete is a lot harder than water, but going aloft on the hard shouldn't be any more dangerous than doing it in the water. The jackstands can certainly support your weight (you walk around deck on the hard, right?), and going up the mast should keep your weight center. That being said, I would go up on a calm day! Best, Trevor
