is it safe to go up the mast of a 272, in a boatswains chair. I need to tighten a windex

Your boat uses the same spar our First 260 does (Zspar 260) and all 190 pounds of me has been up many times.

Make sure your halyards and shives are in good shape. Use proper technique and you'll be fine.

Jackdaw said halyards ! That was meant to remind you to use 2 ! One to be hoisted, the other one as safety, taken up and secured by someone in the cockpit. Good Luck & Be safe
