I went over to the place where I am going to haul out this year. The wind has been blowing for two days plus so I am still in the slings waiting to be put on the hard.
I am very surprised on how good my bottom is considering I have been in for two years in a high fouling area. I have the $100 a gallon West Marine Paint on it from last time without the slime stopper. I do scrub during the summer a few times a month. My prop is not hardly fouled and I have only a few baranacles that will be blown off during the powerwash. Got to love ablative paint.
The bad thing is that I am already two days behind schedule because I wanted to have the bottom scraped and sanded by Friday so I can paint on Friday and Saturday. I wanted to then put new packing materials in the packing gland on Wednesday or Thursday and then Re-install my profurl one of those days as well (all the parts are in and I am all back together).
I keep driving by the yacht club and looking at my boat. This is really fustrating because I want to be doing things, not thinking about doing them. I have to work mid-nights the next two nights on my 12 hour shift so this makes it hard to get started too.
