For the past 2 days we have had very high tides, it's not a full moon, no southerly blow'en, no storms, what up with this?

Here too. Some say its the easterly wind. It hasn't been blowing that hard. I don't know.

Here, mid Chessie, also. 2 inches above the bottom of the stringer on the finger pier. another 6 and it would spill over the bulkhead.

The co-op storm surge web site shows tide about a foot and a half above predictions for the last four cycles. The winds ahve been variable.

You guys have been watching TV right?
I'd point out that the water in the bay starts out in New York and points south.
I think they call it "rain"

Not much TV for me. Was wondering if the persistent low that has been off the coast for sometime now may also have been a factor. It's finally moving away. Stalled low unusual, it's usually a stalled high that starts the heat pump around here. Weather has been wonderful these past 4 days, but with no wind, lots of outside projects got attended to. Here's to a great sailing season.

Almost all the gates on the Connowingo Dam have been open for the past two weeks because of the high (almost flood) waters coming down the Susquehanna R.
Delaware River is also unusually high. Constant Rain + Snowmelt in the upper basins/drainage is the cause.

been really backed up in the middle river. 3 - 4 foot of water on the hard last week and extra high tides this week. Flooded the club room and made a mess of every thing.

Susquehanna River flow/height at Conowingo Dam: http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=phi&gage=cnwm2&view=1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1"
You can see by the height data that the hydro dam is running 'flat-out'.

Tolchester Buoy/Weather Station .... has been showing consistently 3-4 ft. above low/high for the past weeks!

Coastal flooding for the western shores still in effect. 1-2' above high predicted.
The last high tide we had was not as bad as it has been for the past few cycles, but I think with all the predicted rain again, and now the full moon on Tuesday and Wednesday, it may get worse.
