How about speed bumps?

How about installing speed bumps? Hmmmm... That wouldn't work, would it, since it would just sink to the bottom. Shucks, I thought I had such a great idea there. Better go put on my thinking cap.

Loud Music and Poetic Justice

A couple weekends ago I anchored out and was getting ready to enjoy a night of stars and sleep. A nearby boat had their music very loud. Many people on other boats asked them to turn it down, but they insisted on letting all of us "enjoy" their music until about 2am. I finally went to sleep. What authorities could I have called during this incident? If I were at home and my neighbors were making loud noises at that time of night, I could have called the police. Who should I have called? Around 3am, I awoke to the sound of a couple of the loud boaters on their swim platform... calling out for someone named "Ralph." Apparently "Ralph" wasn't in the area, because they called out to him for quite a while. I smiled and went to sleep. Jack P.S. Apologies to the fine folks named "Ralph." :)

Loud music in the anchorage

If you've got an outboard on your dinghy, wait till the partiers finally turn in. Give them about an hour to doze off. Quietly, row over to their boat, stand up and pull yourself as close to the companionway as possible, reach out and give them a good 3 second blast from a freon horn. Start the motor, zip a circle around their boat and take off out of the anchorage. Wait a couple hours and repeat. *666

I've found that the best revenge is music at dawn

Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (the first 16 bars will wake the dead!) in particular...Sousa march music (nothing like "The Stars and Stripes Forever" at full blast to blow badly hungover people out of bed)...the 1812 Overture... Any thundering classical or march music will do...the neighbors you'll also wake will get it and not hate you for it. It cannot be pop or rock, though...the neighbors won't get it and the victims might like it.

I mix it up though Wagner, Ray Stevens, Gershwin, Meatloaf, A show tune etc. I made a cd just for such occasions. It was used first to torture the kids when they started acting up in the back seat found all sorts of uses since then.

*yks NOT John Phillips SOUSA!!! *yks

When I was in elementary school, my mother, to get us out of bed (bless her pea pickin' heart), would listen to the local morning talk radio show and at some point around 5:30am she would turn the radio up full blast for their regular featured "Morning March", (BAAAHHHH *pop BADAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DAH *pop DA *pop DAHHH *pop DAH *pop DA *pop DA *pop DAHHH *pop DAH *pop DA *pop DAHHH) then she'd stick her head in our rooms and yell in her sweet perky voice "RISE AND SHINE! *bzz". Next year is her 70th birthday. I'm gonna try and get my siblings to join me at her place for an early morning patriotic happy birthday. *666

Loud Pipes

Well, thanks for the offer of instruction but I have taken several motorcycle safety courses, including advanced riding. Although the AMA may make that statement, common sense must come sooner or later. If they (other drivers) can't see you, or hear you... you are not there, right? I would think that those who ride their bikes in order to set new Land speed records on public roads, weaving and splitting lanes are going to cause you and I to loose our right to ride long before my loud pipes. As I said, ban cell phone use in cars, eating and drinking and playing music louder then needed to hear it, and I will put on the quietest pipes I can get for my bike.
