How big was his al? I had a 90 and never had an issue with the new style bracket. Of course I never drew my bank bellow about 50% so there were rarely loads of more than 45 amps being generated by the alt...
Perhaps a deep discharge combined with a large alt or just one faulty bracket???? Just thinking out loud...

It was a 125 put on by a PO. However, given the discussion with jviss paralleling this one, I know many folks in our C34 group, so guessing many others, too, have 125 Prestolites hangin' off their arms.
