Universal M25 rebuild references?

Has anyone had experience rebuilding a Universal M25 deisel (vintage ~1985) on a C30? I need a recommendation for a step-by-step book or process that describes (with pictures) how to remove and disassemble/reassemble this engine for a rebuild. The manufacturer's parts, owner's, and service manuals do not contain step-by-step procedures, only parts lists and routine maintenance descriptions.Thanks,Steve

Engine Rebuilding Know How

Steve,There are lots of good books on how to rebuild diesel engines. I have the same engine in my Catalina 30 and have had to rebuild the injector and raw water pumps and the transmission. If you have never rebuilt an engine before I would suggest you remove it and have a local shop do the rebuild. Much cheaper then having the yard do it. If you can not remove it your self you should let the yard have the job.This is a Kobota engine and their parts book is pretty good but the Universal Book leaves alot to be desired.
