Does anyone know where to buy the proper color paint for a Universal engine? I degunked my i988 Universal engine, applied Ospho to cope with the rust, and applied a "universal gold engine paint" from an auto parts store. It's gold allright!Bright and shinny as a cheap gold plated watch. A hunt for matching paint has not found any. Ron B LHP Fl.

I have made the rounds of all the parts stores and can not locate GM 286, ditto all the marine stores. Advise on where to buy? Manym thanks Ron B

Ron I would guess that the best place would be a GM dealer, Chevy, etc. I got this tip from a fello C34-er and haven't looked myself. I did buy a can of spray paint from a local Universal dealer, it was relatively expensive. After I rust painted parts of my engine a while ago, I haven't gotten around to doing the "real" color over-paint. Stu
