Universal Diesel shutdown

A question on starving the Universal Diesel to shut it down. I have just bought an O'day 30, and have not been able to starve the Diesel from the throttle on the pedestal. How can I adjust the throttle so that I can shut the diesel down from the cockpit?

I'm not sure you can. But what I know about

diesels you could stick in your eye. Don't you have a separate "choke" that you pull to stop your engine?

O'Day 30, Diesel Shutdown

On my 1980 O'Day 30 you just push and hold the throttle down to kill the engine. It sounds like yours might need an adjustment.
