seems when taking engine out of reverse and putting transmission into forward gear, it takes a few seconds before prop spins and boat moves forward.

Have never experienced this with any boat. anyone know of problem and or solutiion

Two things come to mind

1. The transmission manual says to move from gear to neutral to next gear, not straight through

2. Have you check the linkage at the transmission lever at the back of the engine? You can make the change manually at the lever and watch your prop shaft.

I don't have that issue (M25) and have, quite frankly, never heard of it before.

I'd check carefully before you determine you have a problem.

Have you changed your transmission fluid (Dexron or ATF but never mixed) recently? Any "suspicious" noise?

What engine?

Just bought the boat, seems to run fine, some grey smoke at times
will remember to put into neutral first as you say.
