After leaving an anchorage with very heavy vegetation I noticed that no water was spitting out of the exhaust port in the transom. After checking the normal things, raw water pickup and raw water pump I found that the engine did have sufficient water supply. The engine actally ran at normal temp with the exhaust disconnected, also plenty of water was spitting out of the exhaust manifold into the Bildge. As soon as I connected the exhaust engine temp started to rise and the rubber exhaust line quicky became almost too hot to touch. I confirmed that he muffler was not blocked by simply running lake water through it. This leaves me to assume that the remainder of the exhaust system may be blocked, the confusing part is exhaust gasses still exit the transom with no issue, just zero water spitting out. Has anyone ever experienced this ???
Adding I purchased a centek lift muffler and plan to replace the rubber " m40" muffler that was there . I plan to start here. Any advice would be very helpful
