I managed to get some unintended racing stripes on the side of the hull while docking recently. The end of a dock, hit in a sideswipe at the fattest part of the beam. Fortunately the corner was covered with a dock corner "fender", but it left a yellowed stripe of vinyl about 6 inches long and 2 inches tall. Any suggestions on how to get that off my recently waxed gel coat? Thanks, Craig

stripe removal

I've had pretty good luck with a product called "Poorboys Whitewall Cleaner" See link below. Prior to this, I also used Davis's FSR (Fiberglass Stain Remover) with good results. JIM

acetone

acetone or fingernail polish remover will take it off instantly. you will need to clean and rewax after you do this.

"Black Streak Remover"

....I've had good luck with "black streak remover" sold by West Marine. I saw some at Wally World the other day but havent tried it yet. I'll give the acetone a try as well. Tim

Fantastic

I read article suggesting Fantastic, I tried it before having my boat cleaned and waxed - it worked! However, you have to rewax the area.
