I know this subject has been discussed many times and appreciate that the general opinion is that they are not effective.

I am in discussion with one manufacturer http://www.harsonic.com/home.html, who is prepared to offer a money back if it doesnt work guarantee.
Does anybody have any actual experience with the latest products using this technology?

Are they also prepared to pay for the additional haul out and possible sanding/scraping of the hard growth that may occur?

Low intensity US is perfectly safe. Mice don't mind it and it is commonly used for certain types of theropy and measurments. Niether is it going to bother bactieria or algae.

High intensity US dramatically accelerates corrosion (I use this for certain accelerated aging tests), shake soft metals apart and damage composities. It will also kill cells.

Could there be a happy medium? I'm betting the intensity near the transmitter would be dangerously high and that at the ends of the boat it would be ineffective.

A quick serch with Google show a Practical Sailor test (different brand) with results so poor they cancelled the test.

A Sail Mag Test (no control) suggested some improvement, but note also that the zincs were gone, suggesting more serious troubles related to US. There aint no free lunch, it seems.

The thing about money-back refunds is that most folks have too much pride in purchase to accept that they've been scammed; they'll get a few returns, but not many.
