A FIX QUESTION, THE U-BOLT THAT THE WENCH HOOK ON TO PULL THE BOAT ON THE TRAILER IS VERY LOOSE, TRY TO TIGHTEN INSIDE; WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM? I THOUGHT OF TAKEN IT LOOSE AND INSTALL LARGE WASHERS ON THE INSIDE....ANY HELP WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Backing Plate

There should be a metal backing plate on the inside to distibute the weight across the fiberglass. Easy to fabricate out of metal stock, then use flat washers followed by lock washers. More importantly, GO BUCKEYES, beat blue!

another solution

I have a 240 that I keep in the driveway. Experienced the same problem a few years back. Investigated the problem on the Hunter websites and found the best way to solve the problem. Everyone suggested using 1" sch.40 steel pipe. I found that 1" wouldn't work so I used 3/4" instead. Ran the u-bolts thru the pipe, put on some big washers and tighten everything up. Be careful, Stainless steel will strip real easy.
