Thanks for the nice comments. Here are some answers but for further help you may want to call on our tech line at 808 263 8569.1. Sails. First I assume that the sails are dacronor nylson and and not kevlar or some exotic composition and that the seams are all stitched and that there are no adhesive tape repairs. IG Pink is ideal in that you can use it with water dilution (try by trial and error, 1/100, 1/10, etc for general grime and grease. You will have to use undiluted to remove soaked in bottom paint dust (if boat has been in yard), grease or gobs of sealant tar, etc. Tar may leave a yellow stain that cannot be removed by anything. In limited experiments, I have tried SEA GLOW on white dacron to see if whitenng could occur. The results were inconclusive, probably negative as the dacron does not absorb the conditioner as with vinyl, hypalon or older gelcoat.2. Superwax. If you are the people who had the good results with removing no-skid stains with IG Pink (by theway I would like to use this if possible as a testimonial) then you bought recently and have the new versionof SB Superwax. On newish gelcoat or LPU etec put it on REALLY THIN. It will be totally cured within 24 hous and waterproof withing 30 minutes or so ((any water marks can be wiped off). If you put the on older gelcoat you may have yielded to the tempatation (like I did at first) to put it on really "wet" . When this happens there is a slighty oily/tacky residue that rises to the top and the film does take longer to cure all the way through. You can hose it down anytime to remove loose dirt but I recommend about a week (in warm temp) before rinsing with water and removeing any surface dirt (that may be attracted) with the microfiber cloth that is in you kit. If you overlapped an area and/or had thick "runs" it will never cure all the way through0-then use Poink udiluted to cut back the surface and patch the area with a thin wipe over with the wax. The idea to about waiting is that some of the resins in the wax (the hardest ones) are slow-curing and if you wipe over too soon you can dull the finish. For general cleaning a little Pink ( bottle cap full) in a bowl of watermakes a great boat soap and the microfiber cloth can b eused to wipe over or buff up the completely cured surface. If you prefer the "wet look" SILKENSEAL is a great rapid shine up to the dark stripes that are more reflective.Give me a call (we are 5 hours behind you) if you need to discuss further as each boat and usage varies a bit.ThanksJim Willis
