Within one month my wife and I have got to experience the two happiest days. We sold my beloved Catalina 30 that I had worked on for 5 years, alot of time and money. The Boat was not meeting my most important need: Having a boat that the wife felt comfy on to live(you know how that goes). So I put her up for sale. I replaced everything on the boat minus the hull and engine. I told my wife we would sell and look to the future and just see what it holds. "Prime Interest" sold to a nice appreciative sailor that knew what a well loved and maintained boat looked like. The next task was to just tell ther wife we were not in a hurry but just go check out some brokerage boats. My wife Catherine is not a sailor but just enjoys the ride and the relaxation(if she is not sea sick) We looked at alot of junk out there that people just let go. Then it happened we were eating lunch and walked down the docks in Channel Island Harbor and stopped at Charlotte Schmitt Yachts (that sold my boat) and stopped to talk to Charlotte. It was Sunday her day off but she stopped by and got busy showing boats. We chatted and looked at a couple and she asked if we had seen the Morgan Classic 41. I thought it was sold I told her and she called the owner and set up an appointment. It was a tidy vessel (needed some work but they all do) and my wife liked it. She said that it would work for her:dance:. After tossing numbers and going through finance we now have had the two happiest days within a month apart. We live aboard in Ventura West Marina 7 boats up from our previous boat and have old friends and new ones on the same Dock.Our boat's new name is HALLEL(means praise in hebrew) because I praise God for this wonderful opportunity.
Do not EVER give up the hope and the dream.......
