Anyone have experience with them, good or bad?

I purchased something from their website a few days ago, and didn't receive an email confirmation. I logged back in, and they do have my order, but no info on if or when it has/will ship. So I tried calling their number, but it rings forever, and then I get the message "Memory is full. Enter the remote access code."

They received a letter grade rating of "F" from the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York.

OK, well, at this point I'm in limbo, and just based on that fact, I'd advise folks to steer clear of this business. I called my CC services company and was told that there was a charge pending, but they can't do anything until the charge is actually processed. They won't be able to notify me when this occurs, so I've got to keep calling the CC company back to check on it.

Twins Recreation hasn't responded to my email, and I've tried calling at least a dozen times and still get a full answering machine every time. Anyone here live in the area who could go check for a pulse at this place? Could be dead bodies in the office for all I know.

I decided to buy from them because they were the only ones listing what I was looking for as in stock.

I bought some Captain Tolley's Crack Cure from these folks back at the end of November. If I recall correctly, I didn't get any email verification regarding my purchase, but I DID get my order in the mail. Nothing sticks in my craw about the order taking an inordinate amount of time for delivery.

Thanks for the info, Ron, but I'm not terribly re-assured. It's been over a week, and I've tried several times to contact them using a couple of different methods, and have gotten no response. I can accept that their voice mail may get full from time to time, but for it to remain full for over a week suggests to me that they aren't even checking it. They also haven't responded to any emails I've sent, either.

As of yesterday the charge for my purchase was still "pending", suggesting they haven't shipped anything to me. A responsible business would at least contact me to keep me informed of delays, and would also respond to emails and/or phone calls.

Finally.

After repeatedly trying the listed phone number and sending emails, without response, I dug a little deeper. Doing a whois search on the hostname provided me with a phone number, email address and street address for the person under whose name the website was registered. I sent a polite email to this person and, without stating any specifics, stated that I'd like to discuss a recent order, but have not gotten any response. This person did not respond.

A couple days passed, and I was about ready to call this person's phone number, when I got an email from orders@twinsrecreation.com stating that the order had been cancelled and to "Please contact us if you have any questions about your order." Uh, yeah, real funny. No explanation as to why they took so long to respond, or why they ultimately cancelled the order.

My credit card company has verified that the charge was not submitted and is no longer pending.

I can't say they're dishonest, but they're a pretty lousy business, and I would recommend people avoid TwinsRecreation.com unless you're able to walk into their shop and walk out with what you purchase.

thanks for the heads-up John!

I'm glad I got my Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure ... but I doubt very much I will be a return customer!
