TV reception on the sailboat

How good are TV antennas on the sailboats or on any other boat for off air reception? Specifically I am thinking about that time when you are anchoring and swinging around depends on wind and current. Anybody got any experiance with sea-watch or glomex antennas? Thank you for your advise.

Seawatch 2050 for me

vic,i bought a seawatch 2050 about a year ago and we love it...has remote control..i bought an adjustable boat hook from west marine and ran the wire thru it...mounted it on the stern of my columbia 8.7 and i can adjust it down when not in use to rail high but to about 12 feet when i am using it. we are on lake lanier, georgia about 1 hour from atlanta and i can get about 15 channels clear while at the slip...unfortunately i have not tried swing at anchor but anticipate good results there also...i highly recommend this model...be sure to get the new version of the 2050 as some of the earlier models i am told would interfere with radar.jerry
