Anyone with a TV on their 410? Where did you install it (got a picture)? There is a a breaker on the main DC and I bet that the wire was run when the boat was built, anyone know where the end on it might be?

Thanks

I'm sure you've already seen our 2 TV's on C-Time, but just in case you've forgotten, the blog is at:

We don't have a breaker labeled "TV" on our panel, and I don't think the owner's manual shows one for the '98 model.

By the way, the one in the saloon has held up well. I was afraid the motion of the boat might cause it to fall.

Good luck,

Daniel

My TV is mounted on the bulkhead wall above the dinette. Since Hunter does not provide electricity to that "wall" - I drilled a small hole behind the mount and ran both the AC & coax cords through to the forward berth and then under the mattress there to the AC outlet on the shelf. I have a picture on the berth wall to cover the hole - and the pillows, etc. covers any wiring. It's neat, clean, and no wires are visible. The AC outlet is G.F.C.I. so you don't need any separate breaker for it. Bill on STARGAZER

Sorry for the delay in responding, but it took me a few days to take the pictures. When we launched Dreamboat in April of 2003 we had the dealer install a flying saucer type antenna at the top of the mast (Shakespeare I think). The cable was run down the mast and you will see where it comes out in Pic 3 below. The TV is actually a computer monitor that came with a TV tuner built in, and a 110 plug with a puck that converted it to 12volts. I simply removed the 110 components and wired the TV straight to a 12 volt outlet also shown in Pic 3. I Got some teak and custom built a stand to go on the shelf behind the port settee. When broadcast signals went digital I simply added a digital tuner to the setup. That is the black box on the shelf under the TV. Since it's usually just the Admiral and me we tend to lounge after dark on the two athwartships parts of the main settee and have a clear view across the aisle to the TV. Has worked great for the last 13 seasons.

If there was never a TV onboard I suspect you will have to run power from the breaker to where you want it.
