We placed our TV on top of the main cabin locker, adjacent to the nav station.Has anyone developed a mount to hold it steady while sailing? Right now, we wedge it in with pillows, obviously not a great solution. Thanks
Stuart:I have a 9" TV that we have mounted on top of a cabinet also. We used the 3M product that has stick-on fasteners with buckles. You stick the buckle to the TV and another to the cabinet. Then you use this plastic belting material to connect the two buckles. I must tell you that I was VERY scepitical of this method of mounting but it has worked VERY WELL. We have over 25+ degrees and the TV stays in place better than the crew. These can also be used to hold a laptop computer down on the chart table too.
Was searching the West Marine internet site and couldn't find something similar.Do you have any more specifics so I can find either there or at their store? Thanks a bunch,Stuart
Stuart:We told you about the product and now you want us to find it for you too <haha>.Seriously, it is in the WM 2000 Sailing catalog on pg. 377 (upper left hand corner) The part number is 133683 or 193164 (white) and 113691 or 193156 (black). They run between 9.00 & 12.00. Good luck, let us know what you think about them.
Ahoy Stuart!!! God everyone is sure pickin on you!!We have a really neat swing arm bolted to our support rods. Our 13 inch tv is strapped to it. It works well but unfortunately I don't know where to tell you to get one!! "Slipless in Seattle"
