Turtle problem

Catalina Expo 14.2 Auburn Hills, Mich.
I have been sailing my Catalina Expo 14.2 for seven years and have had two experiences of dumping the boat (bad jibe) and having it turtle before I even break the surface of the water on my way back up. Not a good experience. Anyone found a way to prevent or right the boat easily? My last time required two teenagers.

Masthead float... That and seal the masthead as best you can so the trapped air inside the mast provides buoyancy.

Can you slip a length of pool noodle over the top? Slit it and ziptie it?

All are ideas I have seen elsewhere. If one of these doesn't help, it might spur some creative thinking

[FONT=&quot]I had a Dolphin Sr that I filed the mast & boom with expanding foam to keep it from going turtle. I never did test it to see if that really worked.[/FONT]

We have a prindle 16 at our club who attached a plastic water jug to the top of the mast. Looks ok and works very well.
