I have obtained two Garhauer deck organizers to replace those on my 1986 Cat. 30. The sheeves on the old ones have completely fallen apart. I was able, with difficulty, to remove the oganizer on the port side but cannot get the one on the starboard side to budge. The way I was able to get the port side one off was with an impact screw driver but I have not been able to do anything other then chew up bits on the impact driver on the other side. Any suggestions.

Vise Grip!

These screws are round head, i.e. you should be able to bring a vise grip to bear. But be careful - you might break the screws! If that fails, drill out the heads and you should be able to grip the studs once the organizer is off, maybe apply some heat (careful!) to "tenderize" the 5200 that probably got into the thread. The ultimate last approach would be to drill out the studs and re-tap the thread (really not too bad a job). Good luck, Hans
