I have a Hunter 270 (260 winged keel). Shroud turnbuckles have bent and want to replace. Any recommendation regarding brand and size? I will appreciate the input.

Cheers,

buy them thru the forum store as they have the right ones for your boat. There are several brands but found all to perform but you will need it for a 1/4 inch thread size.

If it is the threaded stud that is on the boat, make sure when ordering if the threads match up on the replacement as one is right handed and the other is left handed threads. That is important

Thank you Dave! What got twisted are the lower t-studs, which happened while the mast was lifted. Would replacing just the studs be OK, the rest looks good, or should I replace the whole turnbuckle sets?

Replace the studs only and suggest a couple of spares. When you feel resisttance raising, stop and look to make sure no wires or lines are caught. Generally it is where the mast is about 75 degrees up when the studs are twisted. At that point just stop and shake them to loosn them up so they will be straight. Some folks tie a bungee around the shrouds to keep them straight up AND DOWN.
