TSP Cleaner question

I was rooting around my boat stuff, found a partial bag of TSP substitute, Phosphate free. I can`t remember why I have it.
Can I use it in water as soap to scrub topsides and cabin top and cockpit?

I would say you are safe as long as you haven't use something like a poly glow on the hull or cabin top which can be removed by TSP...we learned the hard way...now we use dreft on the top sides works great and doesn't affect the hull shine....Pat

Thanks, not going on the hull, just walking surfaces topside, not much shine there anyway.

I think a small test spot is in order first.

I think the concern is the natural runoff through the toe rail and aft that will spill onto the hull.
